# Monkey Math vs Boddle

The clearest difference is price: Boddle at Free against Monkey Math's $2.99. Boddle also leads on ratings volume (12K vs 20) and update cadence (every 5 weeks vs every 5 months). Monkey Math's advantage is in-app purchases (none vs 10) and review sentiment (89% vs 76%). On ads and device support there is nothing between them.

Boddle is free to download; Monkey Math costs $2.99 up front. Boddle sells 10 in-app purchases, starting at $9.99 per month. Monkey Math asks for nothing beyond the download.

Boddle holds the better App Store score, 4.5 against 4.2. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Boddle has 12K ratings behind it against 20, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 89% of Monkey Math's written reviews are positive against 76% of Boddle's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Monkey Math ships an update every 5 months, Boddle every 5 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 23, 2026 and October 24, 2026 respectively.
