# Calendars vs PlanPop

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: PlanPop at none against Calendars's 20. PlanPop also leads on review sentiment (89% vs 56%) and update cadence (every 2 days vs weekly). Calendars's advantage is ratings volume (123K vs 1K) and chart position (#109 vs unranked). On price, rating, ads and iOS requirement there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Calendars sells 18 in-app purchases, starting at $3.99 per month. PlanPop asks for nothing beyond the download.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.7 for Calendars against 4.8 for PlanPop. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Calendars has 123K ratings behind it against 1K, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews are what separate them: 56% of Calendars's written reviews are positive against 89% of PlanPop's.

Calendars ships an update weekly, PlanPop every 2 days. The most recent releases landed on November 3, 2026 and November 2, 2026 respectively.
