# Calendars vs Smart Tasks

Calendars and Smart Tasks both sit at 4.7 stars, but that hides the real split: 79% of Smart Tasks's written reviews are positive against 56% of Calendars's. Calendars's advantage is ratings volume (123K vs 4.5K) and chart position (#135 vs unranked). On price, rating, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Calendars sells 18 in-app purchases, starting at $3.99 per month and Smart Tasks sells 5 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.7 for Calendars against 4.7 for Smart Tasks. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Calendars has 123K ratings behind it against 4.5K, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews are what separate them: 56% of Calendars's written reviews are positive against 79% of Smart Tasks's.

Calendars ships an update weekly, Smart Tasks fortnightly. The most recent releases landed on November 1, 2026 and October 29, 2026 respectively.
