# Calendars vs Plan Calendar

The clearest difference is review sentiment: Plan Calendar at 100% against Calendars's 56%. Plan Calendar also leads on rating (5.0 vs 4.7) and iOS requirement (15.1 vs 18.2). Calendars's advantage is ads (none vs shown) and ratings volume (122K vs 22). On price, update cadence, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Calendars sells 18 in-app purchases, starting at $3.99 per month and Plan Calendar sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Plan Calendar holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.7. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Calendars has 122K ratings behind it against 22, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 56% of Calendars's written reviews are positive against 100% of Plan Calendar's.

Calendars ships an update weekly, Plan Calendar every 6 days. The most recent releases landed on October 31, 2026 and October 30, 2026 respectively.
