# Calendars vs Shift Calendar Planner

The clearest difference is ratings volume: Calendars at 122K against Shift Calendar Planner's 27. Calendars also leads on update cadence (weekly vs every 3 weeks) and chart position (#141 vs unranked). Shift Calendar Planner's advantage is review sentiment (81% vs 56%). On price, rating, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Calendars sells 18 in-app purchases, starting at $3.99 per month and Shift Calendar Planner sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.7 for Calendars against 4.6 for Shift Calendar Planner. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Calendars has 122K ratings behind it against 27, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews are what separate them: 56% of Calendars's written reviews are positive against 81% of Shift Calendar Planner's.

Calendars ships an update weekly, Shift Calendar Planner every 3 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 25, 2026 and October 24, 2026 respectively.
