# Calendars vs Calendar Scanner

The clearest difference is ratings volume: Calendars at 123K against Calendar Scanner's 1. Calendars also leads on update cadence (weekly vs every 5 weeks) and chart position (#150 vs unranked). Calendar Scanner's advantage is rating (5.0 vs 4.7). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Calendars sells 18 in-app purchases, starting at $3.99 per month and Calendar Scanner sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $0.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Calendar Scanner holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.7. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Calendars has 123K ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Calendars ships an update weekly, Calendar Scanner every 5 weeks. The most recent releases landed on November 1, 2026 and October 30, 2026 respectively.
