# Diagnostics vs Fishing Points

The clearest difference is rating: Fishing Points at 4.7 against Diagnostics's 4.1. Fishing Points also leads on update cadence (fortnightly vs every 28 months) and ratings volume (31K vs 10). Diagnostics's advantage is review sentiment (100% vs 65%) and in-app purchases (none vs 10). On price and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Fishing Points sells 7 in-app purchases, starting at $9.99 per month. Diagnostics asks for nothing beyond the download.

Fishing Points holds the better App Store score, 4.7 against 4.1. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Fishing Points has 31K ratings behind it against 10, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 100% of Diagnostics's written reviews are positive against 65% of Fishing Points's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Diagnostics ships an update every 28 months, Fishing Points fortnightly. Both last shipped on November 6, 2026.
