Verdict
The clearest difference is review sentiment: Diagnostics at 100% against F1 TV's 31%. Diagnostics also leads on in-app purchases (none vs 2) and ads (none vs shown). F1 TV's advantage is rating (4.8 vs 4.1) and update cadence (monthly vs every 28 months). On price and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. F1 TV sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $3.49 per month. Diagnostics asks for nothing beyond the download.
F1 TV holds the better App Store score, 4.8 against 4.1. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: F1 TV has 134K ratings behind it against 10, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 100% of Diagnostics's written reviews are positive against 31% of F1 TV's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.
Diagnostics ships an update every 28 months, F1 TV monthly. The most recent releases landed on November 1, 2026 and November 4, 2026 respectively.
