# Diagnostics vs Slopes

The clearest difference is rating: Slopes at 4.9 against Diagnostics's 4.1. Slopes also leads on update cadence (every 9 days vs every 28 months) and ratings volume (88K vs 10). Diagnostics's advantage is in-app purchases (none vs 6) and review sentiment (100% vs 84%). On price, ads and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Slopes sells 6 in-app purchases, starting at $9.99 per 7 days. Diagnostics asks for nothing beyond the download.

Slopes holds the better App Store score, 4.9 against 4.1. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Slopes has 88K ratings behind it against 10, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 100% of Diagnostics's written reviews are positive against 84% of Slopes's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Diagnostics ships an update every 28 months, Slopes every 9 days. The most recent releases landed on October 23, 2026 and October 27, 2026 respectively.
