# Sticky Notes vs Daily Writing Prompts

The clearest difference is monetization model: Daily Writing Prompts at free with in-app purchases against Sticky Notes's subscription. Sticky Notes's advantage is ratings volume (6K vs 29) and review sentiment (72% vs 50%). On price, rating, update cadence and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Sticky Notes sells 12 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per month and Daily Writing Prompts sells 6 in-app purchases, starting at $5.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.4 for Sticky Notes against 4.3 for Daily Writing Prompts. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Sticky Notes has 6K ratings behind it against 29, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews are what separate them: 72% of Sticky Notes's written reviews are positive against 50% of Daily Writing Prompts's.

Sticky Notes ships an update every 5 weeks, Daily Writing Prompts every 3 weeks. The most recent releases landed on September 28, 2026 and September 8, 2026 respectively.
