# Sticky Notes vs Capsules

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: Capsules at none against Sticky Notes's 12. Capsules also leads on review sentiment (100% vs 72%) and rating (4.7 vs 4.4). Sticky Notes's advantage is update cadence (every 5 weeks vs every 10 months) and ratings volume (6K vs 3). On price, ads, device support and iOS requirement there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Sticky Notes sells 12 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per month. Capsules asks for nothing beyond the download.

Capsules holds the better App Store score, 4.7 against 4.4. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Sticky Notes has 6K ratings behind it against 3, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 72% of Sticky Notes's written reviews are positive against 100% of Capsules's.

Sticky Notes ships an update every 5 weeks, Capsules every 10 months. The most recent releases landed on October 12, 2026 and October 8, 2026 respectively.
