# Sticky Notes vs Packing Checklist

The clearest difference is monetization model: Packing Checklist at free with in-app purchases against Sticky Notes's subscription. Packing Checklist also leads on rating (4.6 vs 4.4). Sticky Notes's advantage is ads (none vs shown) and update cadence (every 5 weeks vs every 10 months). On price and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Sticky Notes sells 12 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per month and Packing Checklist sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Packing Checklist holds the better App Store score, 4.6 against 4.4. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Sticky Notes has 6K ratings behind it against 94, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 72% of Sticky Notes's written reviews are positive against 60% of Packing Checklist's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Sticky Notes ships an update every 5 weeks, Packing Checklist every 10 months. The most recent releases landed on October 26, 2026 and October 23, 2026 respectively.
