# Angry Flies vs Pixel Goldfish

The clearest difference is rating: Pixel Goldfish at 2.0 against Angry Flies's 1.0. Pixel Goldfish also leads on ads (none vs shown) and ratings volume (4 vs 1). Angry Flies's advantage is review sentiment (50% vs 33%) and iOS requirement (9.0 vs 16.0). On price, update cadence, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Angry Flies sells 5 one-off in-app purchases and Pixel Goldfish sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Pixel Goldfish holds the better App Store score, 2.0 against 1.0. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 1 and 4 respectively. Written reviews complicate that: 50% of Angry Flies's written reviews are positive against 33% of Pixel Goldfish's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Angry Flies ships an update every 13 months, Pixel Goldfish every 7 months. The most recent releases landed on October 23, 2026 and October 24, 2026 respectively.
