# Daylight BASIC vs Enjoy the Sunset

The clearest difference is rating: Enjoy the Sunset at 3.8 against Daylight BASIC's 2.0. Enjoy the Sunset also leads on ads (none vs shown) and monetization model (free vs ad-supported). Daylight BASIC's advantage is review sentiment (80% vs 50%) and update cadence (every 2 months vs every 8 months). On price, ratings volume, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Enjoy the Sunset holds the better App Store score, 3.8 against 2.0. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 6 and 12 respectively. Written reviews complicate that: 80% of Daylight BASIC's written reviews are positive against 50% of Enjoy the Sunset's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Daylight BASIC ships an update every 2 months, Enjoy the Sunset every 8 months. The most recent releases landed on October 8, 2026 and October 2, 2026 respectively.
