# Number Join vs Nonograms Katana

The clearest difference is rating: Nonograms Katana at 4.8 against Number Join's 4.2. Nonograms Katana also leads on ads (none vs shown) and ratings volume (6.8K vs 59). On price, review sentiment, update cadence and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Number Join sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and Nonograms Katana sells 3 one-off in-app purchases. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Nonograms Katana holds the better App Store score, 4.8 against 4.2. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Nonograms Katana has 6.8K ratings behind it against 59, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 89% of Number Join's written reviews are positive against 83% of Nonograms Katana's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Number Join ships an update every 5 months, Nonograms Katana every 3 months. The most recent releases landed on October 23, 2026 and November 1, 2026 respectively.
