# Slideshow Maker vs Frame Pro

The clearest difference is review sentiment: Slideshow Maker at 85% against Frame Pro's 50%. Slideshow Maker also leads on ratings volume (2.3K vs 1) and update cadence (every 3 weeks vs every 3 months). Frame Pro's advantage is rating (5.0 vs 4.7) and iOS requirement (12.0 vs 15.0). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Slideshow Maker sells 6 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per 7 days and Frame Pro sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Frame Pro holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.7. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Slideshow Maker has 2.3K ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 85% of Slideshow Maker's written reviews are positive against 50% of Frame Pro's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Slideshow Maker ships an update every 3 weeks, Frame Pro every 3 months. The most recent releases landed on October 21, 2026 and October 14, 2026 respectively.
