# McMaster vs CRC Distribution

The clearest difference is rating: CRC Distribution at 5.0 against McMaster's 4.3. CRC Distribution also leads on iOS requirement (12.2 vs 15.0). McMaster's advantage is ratings volume (220 vs 2) and update cadence (every 5 weeks vs every 6 months). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

CRC Distribution holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.3. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: McMaster has 220 ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two.

McMaster ships an update every 5 weeks, CRC Distribution every 6 months. The most recent releases landed on September 17, 2026 and September 16, 2026 respectively.
