# McMaster vs Lawson Products

The clearest difference is rating: Lawson Products at 5.0 against McMaster's 4.3. Lawson Products also leads on iOS requirement (10.0 vs 15.0). McMaster's advantage is update cadence (every 5 weeks vs every 7 months) and ratings volume (220 vs 1). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Lawson Products holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.3. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: McMaster has 220 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.

McMaster ships an update every 5 weeks, Lawson Products every 7 months. The most recent releases landed on October 24, 2026 and September 17, 2026 respectively.
