# Eventsential vs Behavior Observation

The clearest difference is price: Eventsential at Free against Behavior Observation's $59.99. Eventsential also leads on review sentiment (80% vs 44%) and update cadence (every 5 weeks vs every 3 months). Behavior Observation's advantage is rating (4.6 vs 3.6) and chart position (#142 vs unranked). On ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Eventsential is free to download; Behavior Observation costs $59.99 up front. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Behavior Observation holds the better App Store score, 4.6 against 3.6. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 24 and 89 respectively. Written reviews complicate that: 80% of Eventsential's written reviews are positive against 44% of Behavior Observation's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Eventsential ships an update every 5 weeks, Behavior Observation every 3 months. The most recent releases landed on October 8, 2026 and October 5, 2026 respectively.
