# Lucidchart vs Falconry Journal

The clearest difference is review sentiment: Falconry Journal at 83% against Lucidchart's 21%. Falconry Journal also leads on ads (none vs shown) and update cadence (weekly vs every 2 months). Lucidchart's advantage is rating (4.6 vs 4.0) and monetization model (free with in-app purchases vs subscription). On price, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Lucidchart sells 2 one-off in-app purchases and Falconry Journal sells 1 in-app purchase, starting at $1.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Lucidchart holds the better App Store score, 4.6 against 4.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Lucidchart has 5.3K ratings behind it against 19, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 21% of Lucidchart's written reviews are positive against 83% of Falconry Journal's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Lucidchart ships an update every 2 months, Falconry Journal weekly. The most recent releases landed on October 23, 2026 and October 24, 2026 respectively.
