# Cursive Writing vs Dynamilis Handwriting Practice

The clearest difference is ads: Dynamilis Handwriting Practice at none against Cursive Writing's shown. Dynamilis Handwriting Practice also leads on update cadence (every 2 months vs every 11 months) and rating (4.5 vs 4.1). Cursive Writing's advantage is ratings volume (2.2K vs 82) and device support (3 vs 1). On price, review sentiment, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Cursive Writing sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and Dynamilis Handwriting Practice sells 13 in-app purchases, starting at $14.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Dynamilis Handwriting Practice holds the better App Store score, 4.5 against 4.1. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Cursive Writing has 2.2K ratings behind it against 82, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 69% of Cursive Writing's written reviews are positive against 64% of Dynamilis Handwriting Practice's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Cursive Writing ships an update every 11 months, Dynamilis Handwriting Practice every 2 months. The most recent releases landed on September 29, 2026 and October 2, 2026 respectively.
