# Vatican.va vs Map't

The clearest difference is rating: Map't at 5.0 against Vatican.va's 4.0. Vatican.va's advantage is update cadence (every 6 weeks vs every 15 months) and monetization model (free vs ad-supported). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Map't holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Vatican.va has 35 ratings behind it against 4, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Vatican.va ships an update every 6 weeks, Map't every 15 months. The most recent releases landed on October 14, 2026 and September 23, 2026 respectively.
