# C vs Chess Clock

The clearest difference is update cadence: Chess Clock at every 5 days against C's every 3 weeks. On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. C sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and Chess Clock sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

C ships an update every 3 weeks, Chess Clock every 5 days. The most recent releases landed on October 13, 2026 and October 9, 2026 respectively.
