# True Color vs おでかけAR

The clearest difference is rating: おでかけAR at 5.0 against True Color's 3.3. True Color's advantage is monetization model (free vs paid) and ratings volume (41 vs 1). On price, review sentiment, update cadence and ads there is nothing between them.

True Color costs $2.99 and おでかけAR $2.99 up front. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

おでかけAR holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 3.3. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: True Color has 41 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 53% of True Color's written reviews are positive against 50% of おでかけAR's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

True Color ships an update every 2 months, おでかけAR monthly. The most recent releases landed on October 26, 2026 and October 27, 2026 respectively.
