# Timer! vs Timer

The clearest difference is ads: Timer! at none against Timer's shown. Timer! also leads on ratings volume (448 vs 81) and iOS requirement (10.0 vs 15.0). Timer's advantage is update cadence (fortnightly vs every 13 months) and review sentiment (75% vs 62%). On price, rating, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Timer! sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and Timer sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $0.49 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.5 for Timer! against 4.4 for Timer. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Timer! has 448 ratings behind it against 81, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews are what separate them: 62% of Timer!'s written reviews are positive against 75% of Timer's.

Timer! ships an update every 13 months, Timer fortnightly. The most recent releases landed on October 7, 2026 and October 1, 2026 respectively.
