# Timer! vs timer.

The clearest difference is update cadence: timer. at every 3 months against Timer!'s every 13 months. Timer!'s advantage is rating (4.5 vs 4.3) and iOS requirement (10.0 vs 12.0). On price, review sentiment, ratings volume and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Timer! sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and timer. sells 5 one-off in-app purchases. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Timer! holds the better App Store score, 4.5 against 4.3. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 448 and 170 respectively. Written reviews complicate that: 62% of Timer!'s written reviews are positive against 63% of timer.'s, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Timer! ships an update every 13 months, timer. every 3 months. The most recent releases landed on October 7, 2026 and October 1, 2026 respectively.
