# Timer! vs Timer®

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: Timer® at none against Timer!'s 1. Timer® also leads on rating (4.7 vs 4.5). Timer!'s advantage is ads (none vs shown) and ratings volume (448 vs 38). On price, review sentiment, update cadence and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Timer! sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Timer® asks for nothing beyond the download.

Timer® holds the better App Store score, 4.7 against 4.5. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Timer! has 448 ratings behind it against 38, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews split almost evenly too, at 62% and 63% positive.

Timer! ships an update every 13 months, Timer® every 11 months. The most recent releases landed on October 7, 2026 and October 4, 2026 respectively.
