# Live Time vs Niffler

The clearest difference is monetization model: Niffler at free against Live Time's free with in-app purchases. Niffler also leads on rating (4.7 vs 4.5) and review sentiment (92% vs 83%). Live Time's advantage is ratings volume (51 vs 10) and iOS requirement (8.0 vs 15.0). On price, update cadence, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Live Time sells 4 one-off in-app purchases and Niffler sells 6 one-off in-app purchases. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Niffler holds the better App Store score, 4.7 against 4.5. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Live Time has 51 ratings behind it against 10, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 83% of Live Time's written reviews are positive against 92% of Niffler's.

Live Time ships an update monthly, Niffler every 3 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 16, 2026 and October 17, 2026 respectively.
