# ClapperPod vs CameraKit

The clearest difference is rating: CameraKit at 4.7 against ClapperPod's 1.6. CameraKit also leads on review sentiment (66% vs 30%) and ads (none vs shown). ClapperPod's advantage is iOS requirement (7.0 vs 15.0). On price, update cadence, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. ClapperPod sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and CameraKit sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

CameraKit holds the better App Store score, 4.7 against 1.6. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: CameraKit has 321 ratings behind it against 10, so its average is the more settled of the two. Both ship on a similar rhythm, roughly every 2 months. The most recent releases landed on October 14, 2026 and October 13, 2026 respectively.
