# Gente vs Meridiani

The clearest difference is review sentiment: Meridiani at 60% against Gente's 16%. Meridiani also leads on update cadence (every 2 months vs every 5 months). Gente's advantage is rating (4.7 vs 3.0) and ratings volume (13 vs 2). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Gente sells 31 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per month and Meridiani sells 18 in-app purchases, starting at $17.99 per year. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Gente holds the better App Store score, 4.7 against 3.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Gente has 13 ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 16% of Gente's written reviews are positive against 60% of Meridiani's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Gente ships an update every 5 months, Meridiani every 2 months. The most recent releases landed on October 23, 2026 and October 9, 2026 respectively.
