# Slack vs Dial Connect

The clearest difference is review sentiment: Dial Connect at 100% against Slack's 55%. Dial Connect also leads on rating (5.0 vs 4.1) and monetization model (free vs freemium). Slack's advantage is ratings volume (55K vs 7) and chart position (#17 vs unranked). On price, update cadence, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Dial Connect holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.1. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Slack has 55K ratings behind it against 7, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 55% of Slack's written reviews are positive against 100% of Dial Connect's.

Slack ships an update weekly, Dial Connect every 6 days. The most recent releases landed on November 3, 2026 and October 30, 2026 respectively.
