# Diamond Battle vs Chesshape

The clearest difference is rating: Chesshape at 5.0 against Diamond Battle's 3.6. Chesshape also leads on update cadence (every 5 days vs every 28 months). Diamond Battle's advantage is ads (none vs shown) and ratings volume (16 vs 1). On price, in-app purchases, monetization model and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Diamond Battle sells 7 one-off in-app purchases and Chesshape sells 4 one-off in-app purchases. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Chesshape holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 3.6. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Diamond Battle has 16 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Diamond Battle ships an update every 28 months, Chesshape every 5 days. The most recent releases landed on October 24, 2026 and October 16, 2026 respectively.
