# BlueChess vs Chess

The clearest difference is review sentiment: Chess at 100% against BlueChess's 50%. Chess also leads on iOS requirement (13.0 vs 16.0). BlueChess's advantage is rating (5.0 vs 4.0). On price, ratings volume, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

BlueChess holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.0. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 2 and 1 respectively. Written reviews complicate that: 50% of BlueChess's written reviews are positive against 100% of Chess's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.
