# FlowVPN vs Leaf

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: Leaf at none against FlowVPN's 9. Leaf also leads on rating (5.0 vs 4.6) and update cadence (fortnightly vs every 2 months). FlowVPN's advantage is ratings volume (3.8K vs 1). On price, ads, device support and iOS requirement there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. FlowVPN sells 9 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per 7 days. Leaf asks for nothing beyond the download.

Leaf holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.6. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: FlowVPN has 3.8K ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.

FlowVPN ships an update every 2 months, Leaf fortnightly. The most recent releases landed on October 17, 2026 and October 14, 2026 respectively.
