# FlowVPN vs Cool VPN Pro

The clearest difference is ads: FlowVPN at none against Cool VPN Pro's shown. Cool VPN Pro's advantage is review sentiment (76% vs 51%) and update cadence (every 3 weeks vs every 2 months). On price, rating, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. FlowVPN sells 9 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per 7 days and Cool VPN Pro sells 10 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.6 for FlowVPN against 4.7 for Cool VPN Pro. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Cool VPN Pro has 43K ratings behind it against 3.8K, so its average is the more settled of the two.
