# FlowVPN vs VPN Proxy Utility

FlowVPN and VPN Proxy Utility both sit at 4.6 stars, but that hides the real split: 71% of VPN Proxy Utility's written reviews are positive against 51% of FlowVPN's. FlowVPN's advantage is ratings volume (3.8K vs 340) and iOS requirement (12.1 vs 16.0). On price, rating, update cadence and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. FlowVPN sells 9 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per 7 days and VPN Proxy Utility sells 5 in-app purchases, starting at $9.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.6 for FlowVPN against 4.5 for VPN Proxy Utility. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: FlowVPN has 3.8K ratings behind it against 340, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews are what separate them: 51% of FlowVPN's written reviews are positive against 71% of VPN Proxy Utility's.

FlowVPN ships an update every 2 months, VPN Proxy Utility monthly. The most recent releases landed on October 26, 2026 and October 22, 2026 respectively.
