# FlowVPN vs TIPAS (VPN)

The clearest difference is ratings volume: FlowVPN at 3.8K against TIPAS (VPN)'s 33. TIPAS (VPN)'s advantage is update cadence (every 2 weeks vs every 2 months) and review sentiment (75% vs 51%). On price, rating, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. FlowVPN sells 9 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per 7 days and TIPAS (VPN) sells 9 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.6 for FlowVPN against 4.7 for TIPAS (VPN). That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: FlowVPN has 3.8K ratings behind it against 33, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews are what separate them: 51% of FlowVPN's written reviews are positive against 75% of TIPAS (VPN)'s.

FlowVPN ships an update every 2 months, TIPAS (VPN) every 2 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 29, 2026 and October 30, 2026 respectively.
