# Whiteboard vs White Board App

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: Whiteboard at none against White Board App's 3. Whiteboard also leads on rating (4.7 vs 4.2). White Board App's advantage is review sentiment (57% vs 30%) and update cadence (monthly vs every 4 months). On price, ads, device support and iOS requirement there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. White Board App sells 3 one-off in-app purchases. Whiteboard asks for nothing beyond the download.

Whiteboard holds the better App Store score, 4.7 against 4.2. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: White Board App has 82 ratings behind it against 3, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 30% of Whiteboard's written reviews are positive against 57% of White Board App's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Whiteboard ships an update every 4 months, White Board App monthly. The most recent releases landed on October 20, 2026 and October 24, 2026 respectively.
