# MTB Project vs Archer Components

The clearest difference is rating: MTB Project at 4.6 against Archer Components's 3.0. MTB Project also leads on ratings volume (4.4K vs 16) and update cadence (every 5 weeks vs every 3 months). Archer Components's advantage is review sentiment (67% vs 32%) and iOS requirement (12.1 vs 16.0). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

MTB Project holds the better App Store score, 4.6 against 3.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: MTB Project has 4.4K ratings behind it against 16, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 32% of MTB Project's written reviews are positive against 67% of Archer Components's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

MTB Project ships an update every 5 weeks, Archer Components every 3 months. The most recent releases landed on October 11, 2026 and October 1, 2026 respectively.
