# Biosim vs CYS Scan

The clearest difference is update cadence: CYS Scan at every 6 weeks against Biosim's every 5 months. Biosim's advantage is iOS requirement (12.1 vs 15.6). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Biosim ships an update every 5 months, CYS Scan every 6 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 7, 2026 and September 21, 2026 respectively.
