# Ruler® vs NailfitPro

The clearest difference is rating: Ruler® at 4.3 against NailfitPro's 1.0. Ruler® also leads on monetization model (free with in-app purchases vs subscription) and ratings volume (35K vs 2). NailfitPro's advantage is update cadence (every 9 days vs every 2 months) and iOS requirement (13.0 vs 15.0). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Ruler® sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per 7 days and NailfitPro sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $6.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Ruler® holds the better App Store score, 4.3 against 1.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Ruler® has 35K ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Ruler® ships an update every 2 months, NailfitPro every 9 days. The most recent releases landed on October 28, 2026 and October 7, 2026 respectively.
