# Balkaniyum vs Apollon

The clearest difference is rating: Apollon at 2.5 against Balkaniyum's 2.2. Apollon also leads on update cadence (every 6 weeks vs every 4 months). Balkaniyum's advantage is review sentiment (23% vs 14%) and iOS requirement (12.0 vs 16.6). On price, ratings volume, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Apollon holds the better App Store score, 2.5 against 2.2. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 80 and 40 respectively. Written reviews complicate that: 23% of Balkaniyum's written reviews are positive against 14% of Apollon's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Balkaniyum ships an update every 4 months, Apollon every 6 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 24, 2026 and October 27, 2026 respectively.
