# TJC vs Scripture Helps

The clearest difference is update cadence: TJC at every 9 days against Scripture Helps's every 3 months. TJC also leads on rating (5.0 vs 4.7) and iOS requirement (7.0 vs 18.0). Scripture Helps's advantage is review sentiment (93% vs 77%) and ratings volume (26 vs 6). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

TJC holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.7. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 6 and 26 respectively. Written reviews complicate that: 77% of TJC's written reviews are positive against 93% of Scripture Helps's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

TJC ships an update every 9 days, Scripture Helps every 3 months. The most recent releases landed on September 28, 2026 and September 27, 2026 respectively.
