# Lexia Core5 Reading vs Persistence Prep Academy

The clearest difference is review sentiment: Persistence Prep Academy at 100% against Lexia Core5 Reading's 41%. Persistence Prep Academy also leads on device support (3 vs 1) and iOS requirement (12.0 vs 16.0). Lexia Core5 Reading's advantage is rating (3.5 vs 3.0) and ratings volume (14K vs 4). On price, update cadence, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Lexia Core5 Reading holds the better App Store score, 3.5 against 3.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Lexia Core5 Reading has 14K ratings behind it against 4, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 41% of Lexia Core5 Reading's written reviews are positive against 100% of Persistence Prep Academy's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.
