# Argus vs UncommonBreed Coaching

The clearest difference is monetization model: Argus at free with in-app purchases against UncommonBreed Coaching's subscription. Argus also leads on ratings volume (36K vs 1) and update cadence (monthly vs every 2 months). UncommonBreed Coaching's advantage is ads (none vs shown). On price, rating, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Argus sells 10 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per month and UncommonBreed Coaching sells 1 in-app purchase, starting at $130.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.9 for Argus against 5.0 for UncommonBreed Coaching. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Argus has 36K ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Argus ships an update monthly, UncommonBreed Coaching every 2 months. The most recent releases landed on October 19, 2026 and October 14, 2026 respectively.
