# Scrollon vs Daily Canon

The clearest difference is update cadence: Daily Canon at every 4 days against Scrollon's every 7 months. Daily Canon also leads on ratings volume (222 vs 4) and review sentiment (90% vs 71%). Scrollon's advantage is rating (5.0 vs 4.7) and iOS requirement (15.6 vs 26.1). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Scrollon sells 10 one-off in-app purchases and Daily Canon sells 6 in-app purchases, starting at $6.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Scrollon holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.7. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Daily Canon has 222 ratings behind it against 4, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 71% of Scrollon's written reviews are positive against 90% of Daily Canon's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Scrollon ships an update every 7 months, Daily Canon every 4 days. The most recent releases landed on October 7, 2026 and October 19, 2026 respectively.
