# Lingualia vs EducUp

The clearest difference is ratings volume: EducUp at 7.4K against Lingualia's 152. Lingualia's advantage is iOS requirement (8.0 vs 15.0). On price, rating, review sentiment and update cadence there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Lingualia sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and EducUp sells 17 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.6 for Lingualia against 4.8 for EducUp. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: EducUp has 7.4K ratings behind it against 152, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews are what separate them: 80% of Lingualia's written reviews are positive against 79% of EducUp's.

Both ship on a similar rhythm, roughly every 3 weeks. Both last shipped on October 29, 2026.
