# TickTick vs Solid Calendar

The clearest difference is ratings volume: TickTick at 47K against Solid Calendar's 120. TickTick also leads on monetization model (freemium vs paid) and chart position (#111 vs unranked). On price, rating, update cadence and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. TickTick sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per month and Solid Calendar sells 2 one-off in-app purchases. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.9 for TickTick against 4.9 for Solid Calendar. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: TickTick has 47K ratings behind it against 120, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews are what separate them: 91% of TickTick's written reviews are positive against 79% of Solid Calendar's.

TickTick ships an update weekly, Solid Calendar fortnightly. The most recent releases landed on November 1, 2026 and October 27, 2026 respectively.
