# TickTick vs Assignment Tracker

The clearest difference is update cadence: TickTick at weekly against Assignment Tracker's every 8 months. TickTick also leads on ratings volume (47K vs 2) and chart position (#96 vs unranked). Assignment Tracker's advantage is monetization model (free vs freemium) and review sentiment (100% vs 91%). On price, rating, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. TickTick sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per month and Assignment Tracker sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.9 for TickTick against 5.0 for Assignment Tracker. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: TickTick has 47K ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews are what separate them: 91% of TickTick's written reviews are positive against 100% of Assignment Tracker's.

TickTick ships an update weekly, Assignment Tracker every 8 months. The most recent releases landed on November 2, 2026 and October 15, 2026 respectively.
