# TickTick vs HiCal

TickTick and HiCal both sit at 4.9 stars, but that hides the real split: 91% of TickTick's written reviews are positive against 55% of HiCal's. TickTick also leads on update cadence (weekly vs every 2 months) and ratings volume (47K vs 25). HiCal's advantage is in-app purchases (none vs 8) and iOS requirement (13.0 vs 15.5). On price, rating, ads and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. TickTick sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per month. HiCal asks for nothing beyond the download.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.9 for TickTick against 4.8 for HiCal.
